Our ancestors lived, not off of the land, but with the land, using their native resources to provide sustenance from both flora and fauna. The Basic Hunter-Gatherer workshop is a seasonal three day program covering the most simple of food gathering techniques. As well, the instructors of Canadian Bushcraft will teach the student how to the construct the tools necessary to harvest food as our ancestors did for thousands of years.
Subjects may include but are not limited to; Primitive tracking and awareness, stone age traps and trapping methods, basketry, wild edible identification, simple hunting and foraging tools and, of course, respect for the food.
